Can anyone teach me to play it?

Actually a nice tab or video would do.

That is the coolest song ever.

I like to play Lenny (another cool song by SRV) at the guitar shops. I don't think most people know it.

I love it, I listen to either the Jimi version or the Stevie version every day. I'm working on it on guitar. The problem is I keep getting them mixed up, so what I play ends up being composed of half Jimi riffs and half Stevie riffs.

Here's a good video to watch if you're learning it.

There's a Jimi Hendrix instructional DVD that Guitar World put out a few years ago for Axis: Bold As Love. And the tabs for the Stevie Ray Vaughan version are in The Sky Is Crying tab book.

Cool!, nice lessons. Maybe I'll have something new to play at the guitar shops.

Thanks,

I guess that when a song is covered by people like SRV, Clapton, Allman there must be some mojo associated with it.

Has anyone ever heard the version by Skid Row? It's on a album that they put out in 1992 which consisted of covers called B-Sides ourselves!

There's a podcast called Stevie Snacks (or you could watch them on steviesnacks.com). They're video guitar lessons that show you various riffs and give you tips for playing in the style of SRV. There are a few videos up there that show you how to play Lenny. I like the video lesson better than tabs, actually, and everything on Stevie Snacks is much more accurate than what you'd find on a free tab site.
