 I used chantex and have been smoke free for over a year now. also if you keep playing your guitar your hands will be tied up. and i found that keeping reading material around to get your mind off the cravings helps alot.

God bless and good luck

Well i finally got to start my Zyban course today (you have to wait in the uk). I for see it working.

Its very surreal stuff. I cant remember 10 minutes ago clearly. Its like i'm either speeding(amphetamine) or crashing, maybe even like a 24hour come up on acid without actually ever getting there. Not pleasant. Sore throat, dizzy, listless. Warnings of hallucinations on the packet, already had smells in my nose that just aren't there.

The good news is that although they tell you to carry on smoking during the first 6 days and set a quit date for sometime during the 2nd week of the course. I'm down to half what i was smoking without even trying on my first day. Even my beer tastes bad.

They first released this drug in the uk sometime in the 90's. . It was released as a antidepressant. All the deppressed people it was prescribed to were quitting drinking, smoking and gambling of their own volition. It deals with the addiction area of the brain, so all you have to do is break the habit.

Looking forward to tommorows pill.

Watch out for the bad dreams. I wish you all the luck in the world. It took me several attempts to finally quit. Keep us posted.

this reminds me of a funny story:

a freind of mine bought a case of the gum with nicotine in it from cosco to help him smoking. we were sitting in class and i saw him chewing gum so i asked him for a piece (he normaly has regular chewing gum on him).
he gave me a piece...of the wrong kind. i had a really nice buzz that day in drivers ed
