I miss it when I sale stuff but I get over it with new stuff. I've never dumped anything though, I keep even the non functioning gear in hope that some day I might use the parts.

I could have cried when I found out my 12 string acoustic had a "bowing bowl" thing going on. it was basically caving in between the bridge and the soundhole. As a result the strings would not properly sit on the bridge so it would not play right. It was a sad moment.

Yes!! mostly everything I've sold in the past.
When I was in Godfather I had a '69 Telecaster and a Marshall stack ( can't remember the model ) sounded superb and for some obscure reason I sold them. Later a John Birch guitar and Orange half stack and a Gibson LP Custom Black Beauty and Gordon Smith Firebird, a few Strats.
The list goes on and I wish I had them all back now.
Anyway, life goes on. :D

Wow! I'm presuming this was some sort of solid state beginner's amp, right? (Though I don't remember if Marshall made that sort of thing back then...) You didn't trash a proper tube amp?

Do you remember what model it was?

Many, many regrets in my life. But not that particular one!

Cheers - C

Hmm. Maybe I'll take my Marshall Triple Super Lead down the dump just to see how it feels.

Or maybe I won't...

Not really.

'Sold or gave away stuff after it had served its with-this-picker purpose and time.

That said, 'really likin' the current instrument / amp harem / gear-buddies.

Hmm!!! 1979 I found a Marshall at the dump, still plays great

Sorry I had to say it.

There are things I wish I had not sold and Mom gave a guitar away when cleaning Her House forgetting it was left there by me.

The guitar My Mom gave away was a Strat that My Father bought for me from Bill's Music House used in the 60's.

All three are gone now, comes with getting old. I have replaced the guitar a few times over by now but can't replace Mom and Dad.
