My dad had an old Hammond B3 organ with Leslies that he used to play.

Neither of my parents actually played an instrument, but they really love and are interested in music.
They encouraged me at every opportunity to play. Got me my first few guitars/amps etc

My Mom and Dad never really got into playing, but like every single one of my cousins play at least one instrument. All of my aunts on my mom's side played in band, and my dad's sister played guitar a little. Weird stuff. Music just comes naturally to me though.

Not anymore. My parents both used to play guitar a while ago but I guess they didn't stick to it. My mom still has her Washburn acoustic but my dad sold his guitar.

Neither........

My mothers side of the family is very musical, although not professionally.

My mother has been very supportive of my career choice.

My grandfather played piano and he bought one for my sister, who never learned to play it. He would come over to the house and play and sing his favorite songs. My mom would also tickle the keys from time to time, but she really didn't play. That is my musical background, wait my great grandfather on my fathers side was a fiddle player for the Boston Philharmonic a long time ago.

Neither, wanted a hobby that could help me relax after work and a coworker suggested I try guitar. He was even nice enough to loan me one of his for a while to see if I liked it.
