My sister played guitar as a teen, but gave it up pretty quickly. Dad tried to learn the guitar in his late 40's, early 50's but didn't have the patience for it. My grandfather was a damn good harmonica player, I've got his collection of mouth harps in various keys. My great grandfather was the leader of a fairly popular New York band in the late 1800's early 1900's. It was a J.P. Sousa kind of band. For the time, I guess you'd say they rocked.

My mom played the piano. Never professionally though.

My dad played the radio in his Ford Pickup.

My mom did not.

My dad played some banjo and a little guitar. He brought home a number of acoustic instruments from his world travels (he was a US naval officer). He told all us kids (five) that if someone learned to play one of the instruments, they could have it for their own. Which is how I got my first guitar.

My mom plays piano and she's currently taking fiddle lessons. My dad says he use to blow a mean sax when he was younger, but right now he messes around on the harmonica every once in awhile and just recently bought a lap steel to learn on, but it's just sitting there collecting dust, he lost interest in it.

Other than me and my mom, nobody else in the family really plays anything, or has stuck with it at least.
