me and a couple of my friends are trying to start a band but its getting pretty hard to find a singer on long island. the band is called history of heartbrake were going to start wrighting music in the summer. we are an alternative sound with a little bit of screamo. wright back if you can sing.

You probably want to rephrase that to "can you sing well".

We can all sing but you wouldn't want to hear most of us. Especially me.

Good luck with your band and try using your existing talent. You never know, maybe with a little practice one of you can do the vocals until you find someone.

Also try the Kareoki bars. Lots of wanna be singers there. I know a band that started that way.

For church, there's the choir and this picker plays bass.

I do sing but unfortunately I lived in New York between ages 20 - 23.... I'm 27 now, that was 4 years....God I miss it.

It's tough to find a singer in any market. That's probably your best way to go though.
