Hey Sinders,

I know exactly how you feel, don't lose heart. Like many have said above, practice is the key. There have been many times when I've been ready to give up, but I've kept at it and I'm so glad I did. Things will fall into place when you least expect it, and when it does....... WOWSA :D Good luck, and keep us all updated on your progress.

Welcome. Sinderella, we have all been there. A thought on electrics if you go that route: the Jaguar is an excellent axe for folks with small hands. It has a short scale and just magnificent layout.

Advice on getting past the starting aggro comes from that great 20th century American philosopher, Frank Zappa.

"Shut up and play your guitar."

And the sage's second piece of advice for becoming a more accomplished player.

"Shut up and play your guitar some more."

Best of fortune!

Yeah, the Jags are great for that!!!

I always get moments where I'm frustrated and I've been playin professionally for 4 years now....... sometimes I can't even look at my Tele...... then other times I just have to get home as soon as possible and play her all night.

Keep at it, its amazing being able to play guitar, makes you giddy inside when you're locked in a song.....makes your tummy all funny!

CC

For better fingerplacement you keep your thumb on the middle part of the neck where the brown stripe is, and that should give you better reach-ige (haha more new words) on att the strings

You're going about things the right way.

Have patience and do what you can to keep it fun. Work on learning some songs along with techniques and skills as that can get really boring.
