Try and build it into a song somehow, or just when I get bored at band practices switch the radio on :P

I do actually love playing along to the radio. It's great for practicing your musical ear because you only get one shot at it so it makes you work harder.

I just built a fuzz pedal from a schematic I found on the internet today, and when I plugged it into the amp I started picking up a Spanish radio station. When I plugged my guitar into it, I started picking up a Christian talk radio station. When I touch any of the metal parts of my guitar, I pick up what sounds like Russian. What's more, when I turn the volume up on my guitar, the fuzz works fine. There is no inductor in the circuit. Does anyone have any idea how this could happen?

i used to have an old Ibanez amp that would pick up the radio when i would use a crappy unshielded old cable. I switched to a fat monster cable and it never did it again. I have a feeling that it has to do with the amount of shielding on the cable and signal interferance... but im not positive... thats just my own experience with the matter

I have a ZVEX Fuzz Factory pedal that picks up radio stations. I've used it on some recordings as an effect.

You'll notice that on a wah pedal, if you take it up to the toe, you can hear the radio, but if you take it to the heel, you can't.
It's all because you're getting closer and closer to radio frequencies when you take it up to the toe (treble)

We just discussed this in Trigenometry.
