I would defer to the vocal gifts of a Pavorotti or one of his peers for this key aria from 'Tosca'.

Let Bolton stick to what his voice is best suited for.

Doc

:P :P :P :P : Certainly got a good chuckle out of that one, Niki. Objectively, had I Bolton's vocal chops, I could put it to good use in the right genre. I could also do the same for Pavarotti, though I wonder at set list which included Giuseppi Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, and Willie Dixon

Any genere for my strangled pig sound?
Now a good vocalist is too hard to find. Vocalists that can lead a band are like rocks from mars. I'm currently fascinated by Louis Prima my god what a delight to listen to. I've pretty much given up on the wedding band after last nights debacle when they tried to use me to intimidate their regular guitarist. When that didnt work they tried using him to intimidate me. So i've decided to go full steam with the 50's bebop/jive band, despite earlier misgivings. I'm just wondering if they've time to train a great female vocalist to lead them. If so all my dreams from my youth of smokey jazz joints could still come true. :D

[quote="nikininja"]: Prima.....had a quality of voice not unlike that of Louis Armstrong. Find that, and pair it with a straight-faced female sporting an emo haircut. (These kids think they invented the wheel...little do they know)

SBLS im still absolutely fascinated by that era of music. Them guys had a sense of melody that has been utterly lost with the advent of guitar music. Listening to louis jordan's 'noboby here but chickens' and wondering how to compose something so beautifull, full and simple all at the same time is a good waste of a friday. Im still no closer. :D

......and Pavarotti better still 8). Of course, it takes a bit of familiarity with the libretto of this opera to know what's up, and where Boals falls short not only in voice, but in his acting.

Best leave grand opera to the pros.
