A set of Texas specials for my MIM Tele and a couple of Rajun Cajuns will do nicely thank you.

No more GAS for guitars...and there are some amps and other items I would like to get at some point, but I wouldn't really call it GAS because I am in no hurry to get these items, its more of a "wish list" than a "I really need to get this-list".

I've always wanted to try one of the Ovation solid body electrics but I've never found one at the local shop. Maybe that is a good thing - found a few online and the price is more than I can afford. I'll settle for a MIA Tele though.

In no particular order...

Fender Road Worn '60s Strat (Can't get over how good it felt.)

Epiphone Dot Studio (Sunburst)

Fender Vibroverb (I can dream...)

12 String Acoustic Guitar

New pickups for my Tele (Haven't decided what kind yet.)

Strat parts for my project

Fuzz Face (or something similar)

Fender P-Bass

And finally, sometime way in the future, and really nice drum kit! :D

I'd like a nice delay pedal, maybe a watkins copycat.

Woah man, I had one of those back in the early sixties, it got nicked from a club we had a residency at.
Can you still get hold of them things, with tapes an'all ?
We used a lot of Watkins gear back then, I had a dominator amp and I think we had a WEM pa and one of the guys had a Rapier guitar.
I might have some old pix somewhere, I'll see if I can root em out. :D
BTW do you remember the swissecho ?
Cheers mate.

No i dont remember mate im far too young to be period correct :D
. You can still get all that old watkins stuff, its very durable gear. Heres my 59clubman, pretty bang on condition for a 50 year old amp

I pretty much fell in love with the old watkins stuff and have done everything i can to hear as much of it since i bought that amp. You can still get dominator's (around £2-300)and copycats (around £180) on ebay. Theres a very nice westminster going for sale around ipswich for around £400.
Sadly my clubman has to go to a better home. I'm just not capable of giving it the attention it needs and hardly play it for fear of damaging it.

I'll never get one but I would not mind having an old Gibson LP Goldtop! I guess that's what they're called. :)

Ah mate i've never played a 58 but played many modern LP's. They guy i bought the above amp off has a 80 Tokai 58 goldtop faked to exact gibson appearance with covered dimarzio paf's and relic'd to hell. I offered him my customshop strat for it. Sadly he declined.

Ha, just thought of something, not really music related.

Another room on the house so I could store more stuff, maybe even a dedicated soundproofed music room!
Then maybe I could get a Leslie cab.

All of this thread has got me thinking that theres a certain element of magic or something very appealing about just plugging a guitar into a amp with a minimal ammount of effects and making it work.
