I'd like a nice delay pedal, maybe a watkins copycat.

Hello Tommygunn,

I've got a craving for a
GE Smith Telecaster.

Cheers.

A fantasy in my head is for a drive unit that has a foot rocker pedal (like a wah) instead of a simple on/off switch. Good for my Pinball Wizard stunt: acoustic and lead played on the same instrument. There's other ways to achieve it, but if I can figure it out I may build myself the "drive swell" pedal sometime.

Could have applications for other FX, too.

And in the real world, when I come across a Blues Junior with a Tweed finish for the right price I may have to pounce on it...

Cheers - C

Heed the warning make sure its not the american made one from the 90's. The latter cream board mexican one is much better.

Noted! Yes, I've read you carefully on that subject before.

In truth, I need another amp like my wife needs another pair of shoes. But what the heck...

Cheers - C

Theres always room for another amp.

I went for an audition sunday for a swing/jive band playing louie prima type stuff. The drummer builds his own 50's hotrods. He just made a candy apple red 3.1 v8 flat head (matches my guitars). Thats what i'm adding to my gas list.

I have to confess, I'm pretty happy with my lot (for now  ). I hooked my strat up to my Blues Jnr, with some pedals this afternoon. I have been experimenting with sounds, it really has blown me away. Just by accident, discovering new amazing sounds. From bluesy stuff right through to some heavier stuff, time to hook a Tele up now 8)

Nothing in the GAS department at present.

Put away the cost of a pack per day and don't smoke. You can purchase much gear, in cash, over time.

Out-O-GAS ! I say.

But I might not turn down a 63 Fender Reverb RI (or an original) if I came across one for a really decent low price.

I'm okay in the gear department, but I could spring for an Electro-Harmonix Micro POG if I found one. I tried one a year or so ago and loved it. And it would save money not having to buy a 12-string and a bunch of bass gear for recording.

Woah man, I had one of those back in the early sixties, it got nicked from a club we had a residency at.
Can you still get hold of them things, with tapes an'all ?
We used a lot of Watkins gear back then, I had a dominator amp and I think we had a WEM pa and one of the guys had a Rapier guitar.
I might have some old pix somewhere, I'll see if I can root em out. :D
BTW do you remember the swissecho ?
Cheers mate.
