Does anyone have an opinion on the zoom mini recorders? I'm considering buying one and i'd like to hear any experiences from users.

Hey Niki,

Ive got the h2 - you will be VERY surprised how good these things sound - they are pretty cool actually - I was looking at the h4, but just cant justify reason enough to buy one, since I got the other one - im pleased with it - they record very well- you can do some cool stuff with them too

Thankyou ASG. I've researched them and think I'll be buying one tommorow. Hopefully get some audio of wednesdays gig podcast sometime soon. Does the H2 have a usb interface for mikeing direct to the pc? Like you i see no need for the overkill of the H4 yet and when i do i'll likely expand to a more usuall home setup.

I believe it does, dont quote me on that - I know ive personally never used it for that - I can tell you it has the usb, so im sure it would do what you suggested - im just not that technically advanced!! lol - ive used mine mainly for jamming alone, working on leads, song writing and such - ive been wanting to use it with a full band jam, to see how well those mic's really do pick up all the instruments

Fhop the friday night one i was just a stand in. Theres a gig tommorow (wednesday) but i strongly believe their lead guitarist will be there and that i've been invited to be used as a threat  . Still its worth sticking it out. Guitarists are 10 a penny round here, if they drop him I'll fill his spot.
The other band is just starting and the plans we have for it will take ages to come to fruition. Were looking for a full brass section and a double bass player at the moment :)

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to U.S. citizens who are legal residents of the contiguous 48 states of the U.S. and the District of Columbia.

no road worn love for Niki and his ilk (or me for that matter, even though i haven't had a gigging band for some time.)

Not to my taste anyway. I'd only sell it or have a go at restoring it to look new.
