Me too!!! Followed by House of the Rising Sun and then Heart of Gold by Neil Young. Then there is the old standby - Stairway to Heaven.

Every time I have my acoustic out I find myself running through at least one John Prine number, usually Whistle and Fish or Souvenirs if the capo is handy.

Redemption Song - The original or Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros' cover. It's pretty basic, but a lot of fun.

don't know the name of it. From Pink Floyd's the wall. The acoustic guitar part (in the movie) after Pink trashes the hotel room and he's playing with army men and making tank obstacles out of forks and stuff.

Sorry don't know the name of that song.

"Theme From The Endless Summer," which also comes out of a good electric mighty purty, too.

Just no Simon and Garfunkel please.

It's interesting a couple people here mentioned Heart Of Gold. In '76 when I was trying to learn guitar for the first time (I quit after 2 weeks). The three songs they tried to teach us was Heart Of Gold, S&G's Sound Of Silence, and the "typewriter" song (It went bop when it stopped, whir when it stood still, etc).

Heart Of Gold is a really good chords song.
