That must be David Gilmour in 2006 in Glasgow :D I tried to get tickets to the Royal Albert Hall show, but they sold out pretty quick. I live in Norway by the way.
I`m a passionate Pink Floyd fan, but I was only 12 when they had their last concert (besides Live 8 of course).
I have also been to 2 Roger Waters - Dark side tour shows. Amazing!!

If anyone has seen the Pulse dvd, this is the tour.

Hi yodacaster: now I'm showing off my DVD appearances, but I'm somewhere in the audience on that Pulse DVD too! I know just where I was sitting but I've never been able to spot my face in the crowd...

 - C

I unfortunately was not at the Earls Court show.
I saw them in Winnipeg MB, Canada. I was just referencing the tour itself.

Many great live shows. This is certainly one of them. The final show at Winterland in San Francisco, New Years Eve, 1978.

Doors opened early, like mid-afternoon. They set up a volleyball court in the middle of the floor and had a pick-up volleyball tournament to start things out. After volleyball, they dropped a huge movie screen in front of the stage and showed Animal House (Belushi was in the house). Then the music.

Show opened with New Riders of the Purple Sage. Perennial Bay Area favorites and old friends of the Dead.

Next was the Blues Brothers, yes those Blues Brothers. Belushi and Aykroyd, and that band! Lead by Paul Shaffer, with Steve Cropper, "Duck" Dunn, Matt "Guitar" Murphy. I can still see Belushi climbing to the top of the speaker cabinet stacks while Aykroyd did Rubber Biscuit. For some reason, he seemed to have a hard time standing still, hmm.

At midnight, or somewhere thereabouts, The Dead came out. Bill Graham, dressed as Father Time, rode a, how shall I say this, giant spleef from the balcony down to the stage as Aykroyd did the midnight countdown and The Dead opened with Sugar Magnolia.

The Dead played three full sets, and when it was finally over and they threw open the doors, it light outside. They even fed the whole arena a hot breakfast on the way out! Wow, good times, good times.Image

Wow I missed some great shows. Thanks for sharing the memories. The Who at a high school had to be something else. Never got to see them but listened for the whole month when Sirius had a who channel. Thanks again.

My first concert was in 1977.......Kansas with Cain at the Minnesota State Fair. My buddy Charlie barfed on himself - too many footlong chilli dogs before the show. Quite the memory!

Wow! Winterland was the place my favorite band played there last gig The Band's The Last Waltz. I have to admit one of my biggest goals is to re-build and re-open Winterland.
