SRV played on a lot of other artists tracks.
Leonard Choen is a really off genre one that come to mind, SRV played on his "Frist we take Manhattan" track.

Never expected to find a video of him doing it :D

I watch this one from time to time, it's one of my many favorites. Was watching Matchbox Blues with SRV and Albert King last night. It's always great to see how the love for one instrument can bring people together, no matter what.

You are, of course, referring to the Jennifer Warnes version of "First We Take Manhattan," from the album Famous Blue Raincoat. I still think this solo is Stevie's best work... restrained, understated, it bristles with a kind of bottled-up power that fits the song perfectly.

The 80's was all hair and flair - not much content!

Well that ruined me,
a bad case of nostalgia set in and I ordered the Frankie and Annette Collection boxed set of all the beach blanket movies and Back to the Beach

I'm going to have to hide those somewhere so no one spots them

'Remember the movie when it was new as the daughters were wee and liked it.

Surf is still this picker's fave sub-genre of instrumental guitar, but skip the distortion.
