I prefer an electric, it's just more fun playing an electric than acoustic. But you just can't live without an acoustic. I have a crappy acoustic sitting around just to satisfy my acoustic cravings when they pop up from time to time.

Hard choice to be honest.

Nothing mystifies a girl or ANY human for that matter
than, a well built and taken care of 12-string guitar.

Of course, backed by a competent guitarist =)

I have a Art & Lutherie Solid top 12-string.
Highly reccomended.. Solid tops are the only way to go!

I find that to play an acoustic, you have to be right on with the fingerboard. with an electric, you can be a bit spotty and still get the right sound. I like both and play both, which allow me to increase my ability and technique

elegantly phrased.....
Neither in the context of your question can mean both choices are equally liked 8)

I find I pick up an acoustic about 4 to 5 times as often as an electric if I'm just at home alone and want to do some noodling or work out a particular progression or passage. It's just so quick and easy. You grab it and play it. No moving across the house into the amp room and waiting for tubes to warm up and such. The acoustic also forces you to play cleanly and purposefully which always helps your playing. If I was hypothetically being forced to give up all of my guitars except one, the one I kept would definitely be an acoustic and most likely my 814CE.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
