Could you guys help me?

I'm going to get a new Acoustic for around said price, but I'm not sure what I'd like. Here's the preferences:

Solid wood
Dreadnought or Folk Style
Can be an Electro Acoustic
Great Quality build
Not asian made

Any help would be really really appreciated guys! Thanks very much.

Ed

The Not Asian Made requirement is going to limit you quite a bit.

I think Yamaha makes great inexpensive acustic guitars.

Not Asian made narrows it down a bit, just my 2 cents but Takemine and Alverez make great guitars in that range, as well as our good Fender friends. My advise is not to worry about origin, but to test drive and find what feels and sounds the best for you. $825 should find you a real fine guitar.

I wouldn't limit based on country of origin personally. I have all Alvarez acoustics, the Pro series has some models in that price range. I have a PD85SCAV which goes for around $729 and love it. If you have Seagull guitars available to you they are making very good guitars IMO out of Canada. If I did not already own all Alvarez's I would probably own all Seagull's.

Martin makes a few sub-$1000 models...

I have a DX1RGT... I'm not sure what the RGT stands for, but I know it seems to be a slightly higher-end version of the DX1.

Currently, the DX1 is made in Mexico, some older ones are made in USA. The higher-end X series is made in USA.
