How do all you players with multiple guitars share the love so no guitar is left out? I have purchased 2 guitars in the last 6 months and I have a hard time with which one I'm going to play or take to a jam, let alone playing my other guitars.
So many guitars, so few hands!

I only keep two at a time and play both of them everyday. When I buy my next guitar I'll give one of the other two to my son. 8)

hi yodacaster,

2 guitars in 6 month...cool.

for the moment i excercise finger style and slide. therefore i use my no 1 ('96 lone star strat) and my no 2 (classic player 60 strat) alternate, one day this and one day that guitar.
if i have a bit trouble with hammer ons and pull offs left hand in a chord on these guitars i use my no 3 (Sandberg Alterra) with wider neck and string space and try it next day with with no 1 or 2 again.

if i want to play hard rock and metal stuff i use my no 4 till 6:
ESP Eclipse, Ibanez SA160, Ibanez VBT700.

ja, and no 7, Ibanez SZ520QM i play not often anymore. hm, i think i will sell it, let's see...

cheers

:D

I always keep 2 electrics. Right now a 79 Strat tuned Eb and a 90's MIM tuned standard.

I also have a 40's Harmony I use for acoustic stuff and a 30's Dobro for slide.

Every once in a while I see a good deal on a guitar I like and I pick it up. I keep the best stuff to play and I usually end up selling the ones I dont play much.

I'm always on the lookout for good deals on CL and eBay. I guess I'm frequently buying or selling something.

I just grab which ever one I feel like at the moment. Flat tuned, drop tuned, acoustic, whatever strikes me.

I haven't messed around with alot of alternate tunings so maybe I'll keep a couple in other tunings if the mood strikes me.

I always keep a Strat in Eb and one standard. My dobro goes back and forth from Open E to Open D. Wish I could afford a dobro in each tuning I need.

I have six guitars and they all get a fair amount of use. I just bring whichever guitar I feel like to band practice and gigs, so I get a lot of "wow, how many guitars do you have!" comments. Which I think is kind of funny considering only two of them cost me more than $100. Out of all my guitars, my two strats are my favorites and they get the most use.

It's kind of a matter of what tone I want to hear. If I'm in the mood for clean and bluesy the all original '80 Strat comes out, dirty and bluesy the '01 MIA Strat gets the nod. If I'm feeling like heavy rock tone then maybe I go to the '05 LP Classic. If I'm in the mood for something completely different...it's '06 MIA Tele time. :D

I have 5 guitars.......I just rotate through them........or if I want a particular sound that one gives......I'll use that one.
