Today was a terrific day and I'm pooped. My son and my ex put together a wonderful birthday party for me. I played guitar and they sang and we had a good time. My ex catered in an outstanding dinner for all. It was great fun and lots of love!

Good night, all. Peace
A belated Happy Birthday from Mrs. FSB and me, Marky. Great that you had such a terrific time. You deserve it. You’re such a fine fellow that we wish you many more birthdays and great times. :D
- Gary

Thank you, Gary and Mrs. FSB, for your birthday wishes and kind words. Have a safe trip to say farewell, for now, to your mom.

Good night, all. Peace

Glad you enjoyed it, Marky.

I’m exhausted. I put in 565 miles from Medicine Hat to Kamloops BC today. I’ve driven farther, but, still this was quite a drive with a touch of rain, a lot of mountain driving, and temporary lowered speed limits.

I’m glad to have made it safely here with Mrs. FSB though. Two close calls. One with a road raged impatient driver because of heavy road construction delay in the Rockies. Long story short, he pulled around and passed on the inside of us with excessive speeds as I was pulling in from passing a truck and trailer. Fortunately, I caught it just by seconds with a glance of the passenger door mirror. Had I not, Mrs. FSB for sure, and I maybe would have been less fortunate.

Later, an oncoming truck pulled out to pass a vehicle in front of him. We just about got knocked aside as he crossed over the line by a little over a foot with both 1 ton truck and trailer. It happened fast and too close for comfort. Luckily, I predicted it could happen.

Now I’m falling asleep ready to tackle the elevated Highway Thru Hell (aka Coquihalla), and onward to arrive in Vancouver tomorrow where hotels are massively booked up regardless of the rates. :?
Check this out! Here’s a look at the route I’ll take. The vid shows early snowfall. It’s not like that right now; but, I’ve driven it in heavy rain, and in a whiteout storm (said to have been it’s worst).

With that, I bid you all a good night and pleasant dreams.

FSB ZZzzzz

That highway looks treacherous. Sorry but I could only watch about a minute of the video. I was getting dizzy. You guys stay safe.

Goodnight! Can’t keep my eyes open. I’m done for the day after the Coquihalla/Vancouver drive.

Pleasant dreams weavers.

Driving can be long and tedious in Vancouver. Avenues that seem to never end, no left turn signs where the GPS tells you to go (sometimes, I’d like to tell the GPS where to go), three lanes with merging lanes all over the place, multiple bridge routes, steep hills to burn your brakes, and much more.

I’m pooped. ‘Nite all.

I kinda' thought you did, since you're a Sept. 1952 kid.
