I was in a previous band with my friends, but it didn't work out because I wasn't really happy with the direction the band was going musically. I was wondering if anyone who is into trash want to start a band. Most people I met want to play deathcore or death metal. So anyone want to join my trash, nwobhm, punk, metal infuenced band in los angeles.

I know its a UK site but it has a US section with a good few ads. I joined yesterday and have 2 auditions through it already depite living in the once voted 'most boring town in britan'.

I'm very selective mate. The bands i'm going for are jazz and swing, bigband type stuff. I can just be another nameless muso in the background and play stuff that people will actually dance to. Let the brass section and singer get all the credit. I really overdid it with my last band and just want a sedate kind of role now.
To mis-quote lou reed,
Hey babe take a walk on the mild side.

Though i've gotta admit that if i could find some good punk muso's to play surf & country stuff, i'd do that at the drop of a hat.
