What a great topic! I bought a new Fender Pro Junior about 3 weeks ago and it is the most creamy, bluesy amp you can get for the price (which unfortunately went up this year  )

Hey FenderCats,

I get great Blues out of my Hot Rod Deluxe- Very Creamy Clean and the drive channels have a nice crunch- I use a Marshall BluesBreaker Pedal to fuzz up my boost- I like it- Go Try it out !

Fender Blues DeVille with boss blues driver and electro-harmonix holy grail reverb. Superb sound with any guitar.
Cheers

It depends on what your budget is, before the price increase you could get a blues junior for under 500 bucks, but now you can't. If the blues junior is in your price range, give that amp a try. For me, it does exactly what I want it to and my main style is the blues. A strat or a tele just shines through my blues junior.

Good Luck.

The blues junior is IMHO the best blues amp in the budget category even with price increases. If you look hard enough you'll find some deals and there are always used amps on ebay etc.

I own several amps and the bj is my favorite. I frequent two blues jams and both clubs use bj's in the back line. I have a hotrod deluxe and that's great but too powerful for smaller venues.

The other amps I have are vintage and not in the low budget category although if you can find an original Danelctro Explorer which has a 15' spkr and is about 30watts, this is a real tone machine. I've seen some on ebay for under $600. Of course you don't know what condition it will be in. My dano is an original from about 1962 and needed only about $60 worth of work. I paid a lot more for it than a new blues junior however.

Another idea, if your budget is very low is a Super Champ XD. It has a pretty decent blues sound for a small amp. I've had one for about 3 months now and love it. I'd even consider using it for small venues, possibly mic'ed, instead of my much heavier Super 210 or Line6 DuoVerb.
