Gotta say out of all the bands i've met and shared a stage with. Ive never come across a more condescending bunch of hasbeens milking a name they made in 82.

Not including their guitarist Johnny Skullknuckles. He's a sound bloke, they took him from a great band called Goldblade.

I'm English - and contrary to the vast majority of people who don't like the royal family, I do. To me, they give a sense of continuity to the country - and to be quite honest, I'm extremely proud to have them. Just the other week I was outside Buckingham Palace and I felt overwhelming pride. I would die for Queen & Country if I needed to.

I understand how some people may feel jealous about them, but for me, I'm pleased, and support them wholly. It's an honour, to be frank. The royal family do a lot, and the head of the monarchy always has a very demanding and purposeful life.

The only other thing to add is that, while people may not care about the Queen (in particular), may not give a toss - I can guarantee you all now, that she cares about them, and she would be interested to hear about them.

That's my piece.

That isn't post gaining... you're looking like your post gaining.

We are nice friendly people here and when something's funny we laugh, quote their funny post, and tell them they are funny.

I posted reply on the jazz bass fourm saying that sometimes I pretend that Geddy Lee is using a precision bass (cause everybody knows I like p basses better). I got a few chuckles from that and from what you are saying is that if someone replies to a joke then they're "post gaining". Might as well report me to Brad because I thought it was funny too!

Cvilleira that was funny, good job!

At the time, the Fender Lounge post list was literally full of recent posts by him, and I just thought it looked that way. Not trying to start an argument or anything, just wanted people to read what I said as I'm quite passionate about it. Sorry guys for being an arse.

nothing arsey about you ED. Fact is you made a valid point about your opinion that you feel strongly about. No need to apologize for your passions.

This question is directed to our UK Fender brethren:

What are your feelings about your Royal Family (aka, "the royals")? Doesn't it bother you that these "special" people -- by only their birthright -- are entitled to an audaciously lavish lifestyle off of your taxes? I mean ... other than live well off your taxes, what do they do for you besides make luncheon and cocktail-party appearances? Or are they just misunderstood from the USA?

<<< Please let apologize in advance if this is seen as being offensive to our UK Fender brethren. That was not at all my intention. >>>

Gosh! And I've taken such care to be scrupulously polite about your heads of state, despite all the tempting opportunities they provide to the contrary...!!

I don't mind our Royalty actually, all connects to our history I suppose.
Although there is a theory, that the last true monarch was Richard the 3rd and when he fell at Bosworth field, the crown fell into other hands and has been in their keep ever since.
Much propaganda was waged against Richard in by-gone times by the likes of writers such as Bill Shakespeare and a portrait of Richard was altered at some time by a forger, who raised his shoulder on the painting, to give him the appearance of being a hunchback. Of which he was not.
He was not the villain we have been led to believe, merely a defender of the true crown.
There is a Richard the 3rd Society, that is still active today.

Oh! and by the way, we did not vote our royalty into power.
Not like we did with Blair and you guys did with Bush.
And how much did they cost us, in various aspects.
Cheers.
