Hey Snowy,

I was never listened to much Zappa but I remember listening one night, 20 or 30 years ago, to "Shut Up and Play Your Guitar".

Is it as good as I remember?

It's probably better than you remember Beaubs  I would say that though  I'm a big fan, have been for years, I can listen to Frank Zappa just about anywhere anytime. I don't have to be in the mood, his music creates the mood.

Don't mean to intrude, but as a big Zappa fan I love the variety he provides to his listeners. He did something in just about every style imaginable.

I bought that album when it first came out because my hometown is featured in one of the songs, along with a childhood friend who plays on it. I've never been that big of a Zappa fan. I like Montana and a few other songs, Joe's Garage, etc. Not really my cup of tea but his genius is evident anyway.

Don't ever feel you're intruding on a thread in here edzio, your comments and opinions are valued here, just like most other folks. And always remember.... Don't you go where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow!

Has anyone checked out the Zappa Plays Zappa DVD? I think it's a fine tribute to Frank and his music. Dweezil ain't a bad player either!

Check out "upcoming gigs" thread, Gratz put some great pix up of, Dweezil and his band. I ordered the CD Zappa Plays Zappa, I'm hoping it arrives soon. I didn't know there was a DVD too, I'm off to have a look for it

Speaking of DVD's does anyone have the Gilmore live in Gdansk DVD?

Any thoughts on if it would be a good purchase?
