I made 3 videos for youtube of my son, Reese playing my '93 Tele. The song is the title cut off of Blue Oyster Cult's "Fire of Unknown Origin." I figured it would be OK to share. Here is the link:

Wow! That kid has a good sense of time and a good ear for the pitch, which is what almost all bar-band players lack. His string attack is sharp and confident, and he's got cool taste in guitar rock, too. He'll be a great player, no doubt.

(I liked the video of "Burnin' For You" even better.)

Thats awesome! He looks extrememly comfortable for 8 years old. Good style and technique! Love BOC! They were some of the first songs I learned to play myself. The Tele is nice as well.

Reese is better than some players 3 times his age. I'm sure you're proud of him! Thanks for the link!

SlapChop - Thanks for the technical compliments. You have dad's chest sticking out further. I think my boy has good taste too. It could just use a little broadening in blues & country. That's OK, I had no love for country until my early twenties. Cool on the "Burnin' For You." I liked the "Don't Turn Your Back" video best, but my wife doesn't like the song. I don't know how Reese figures these songs out. It still blows my mind. He'll hear something different in the music a week later, then he "upgrades" the song to be more accurate. I learn something & play it the wrong way for twenty years.

Snowy72 - Reese bowed before supper tonight. Thanks you.

all_thumbs09 - Reese, Gypsy & I send thanks. He is comfortable. He played for the pawn shop tonight.

fhopkins - Reese has been better than me for more than a year. Thanks for checking out my boy. :D

russianracehorse - I'm in the same boat as you. Image I can't help it.
