Haha, didn't somebody say something about this guy last time we were on this subject?

And good, I'm glad that it was just a stage.

Emos are slowly but surely dying out in England - it's more new rave now - awful stuff. The pioneers - a horrible grime band called Hadouken. Have a listen to just how pants they are. Myspace them.

Gimme a couple band names. Being a curious musician, I just can't stand not being clear on a point of music. I really wanna know who plays Emo cause I have a feeling it's like Goth was when I was in shcool. They called "The Cult" Goth because the singer wore black eye liner, to me it was just a Rock and Roll band wiith a look, the music wasn't Goth at all, it was all look and attitude.

It's more of an incorrect label if anything. Some bands get tagged with it cause of their fans or a "look". What you said about the Cult is right on.

I thought it was labeling, something I've been agains since I was in highschool.

Let me say this to the "Emo" haters, then. If you hate Emo, you're not talking about a type of music, you're talking about hating people, probably before you've met them. That's the Real Darkness and Evil, not dressing different and keeping to yourself.

Now ask yourself what you love about the clean cut, poper folks you go to school with. How many of their decissions are made based on social prejudice, and how many of them are School Bully's that tend to make up for their own personal shortcomings by belittling those around them.

Escape The Fate, Bullet For My Valentine, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, My Chemical Romance, Funeral For a Friend, Saosin, Pierce The Veil.

I like this stuff.

Thanks, but isn't that all just "Nu-Metal", which is "Metal"?

"Nu-metal" is dead, thankfully. Those bands are what you'd call hardcore or metalcore, maybe post-hardcore, etc. What's in a name? F--k it!

Atreyu and Bullet are pretty damn good bands. I've seen them live together. Amazing show.

That's what I'm saying, A Rose by any other name...ect. When that stuff came out it was called Gring Core. Bands like Bolt Thrower and Napalm Death started the Cookie Monster thing over 15 years ago. It seem that every few years someone re-names it and calls it cutting edge Metal. It's all metal to me, maybe we can say Old School and New School, but Metal is Metal. I like a lot of the New School Metal. Arch Angel and Opeth for instance.
