I realize this discussion has moved from guitars to cullinary delights but please let me interject.
Try out a baja tele. Decent model for the prce and you wont feel hamperd going froma strat's switching to the baja's. It does a reasonable 4th position copy.
Its not CS or masterbuilt or even MIA standard but is a fun tele that is more than playable with a bit of attention.
My only gripe is the lack of compensated saddles and i believe every tele outside of VRI should have those or 6saddle bridges.

Well worth a go.

On a side note, any good recipes? i let the missus cook for me today. I need to give her some pointers
BTW, I'm doing the cooking tonight and it's chicken and dumplings! If you know what that is.

Sorry Niki no good recipes! I know I won't like a tele so I may just try the Baja. Chet said GC was having a 50% off sale so I could pick up one for around 4 or 5 hundred huh? I need a tele like a hole in the head! Thanks and I'll come up with something good for the wife to cook for you!

Doc, Niki does not sleep. That's why he made Rock Star before Ceri!
I often wonder who is on the forum and what they talk about while we are sleeping!

Well, given the time difference, that's easy to understand. In that setting, I'd be half way out the door on the way to the office over there by the time ya'll hit the pillows in Louisiana.

One good thing about being retired Doc is I eat, sleep etc whenever the mood hits me. I've discovered, like Einstein said, you only need a couple of hours of sleep a day! 8)

I had to reset my sleep cycle over the past 2-3 months to assure 5 hours. I've come to realize that I just can't function on less. I also eat when the mood hits me, but it has to hit me between 5-6 a.m., around 9 a.m., around noon, around 5 p.m and around 10 p.m. Mon-Thurs. Weekends are a bit more flexible.

My semi-retirement currently means that I am no longer in private practice. Beyond that I'm up at five and in bed by 11:30-midnite, Mon-Thurs. Home by 6:30 latest on Friday.

Fortunately, I did not retire as planned this December.
