Hmmmm. Blackmore, Lifeson, and Gallagher. Now that's a formidable army of guitarists.

1-Van Halen - 1978

2-Van Halen II - 1979

3-Van Halen - woman and children first - 1980

4-Van Halen - Fair Warning -1981

there are others i would recomend from
other artist. but the 4 mentioned are a must
for guitar players. they are the albums that changed
the guitarist and guitar playing world forever.

Pink Floyd: To be honest I would recommend all their albums DSOTM, The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals, etc.

Led Zeppelin: Actually, all their stuff is great Albums 1-4, Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti, Presence, etc.

Rush: Yeah, pretty much all of the above

U2: Everything they do is pretty Awesome.

Queen: Every song they make is like an instant hit.

The Who: If their songs are good enough for CSI, then their probably good enough for everyone ;)

Etc...

I could go on, but in all honesty. Can you think of any music today that's as epic as this. I hope we have some kind of musical revolution, because it's kind of sad to see the mainstream being filled with Disney filled pop stars and rap artists who only care about money and women. Hopefully music will change, but at least we have underground and indie bands.
