I've been recommending to everyone lately the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, who have four albums:

B.R.M.C.
Take Them On, On Your Own
Howl
Baby 81

If you haven't heard them, it's sort of blues-infused psychedelic rock, or maybe rock-infused psychedelic blues, out of the San Francisco scene but now based in LA. But, sadly, the guitarist plays only 335's, so no Fender connection...

ok all my faves have been done so heres a few more "obscure"
ones that absolutly rock.

pros and cons of hitchiking, ROGER WATERS (PINKFLOYD) with ERIC CLAPTON on guitar.

definatly maybe,OASIS you can mock but this album inspired a generation to throw away there drum machines and buy giutars.

uprising, BOB MARLEY AND THE WAILERS, too many great bob marley albums to list.

Cage The Elephant - Cage The Elephant
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Mothers Milk. This one was made after J. Frusciante stopped with his drugs and got better. It's the best of both kinds of music the peppers have made. If you like the funky side of peppers, buy it.
Bob Marley - Exodus (yumm)

hate to leave out bands like parliament and some indie bands, but this would be my top 3 (not in this order)
