Haven't been on the site for a while and noticed that I don't see the Fender Players Club. Anyone know what happened to it?

Thanks
George I.

It's still available.

http://www.fenderplayersclub.com/

I look at the beginners and intermediate levels - everythng is still present.

For some reason, there aren't any links to it from the main Fender's site - that I've seen.

That is VERY cool...I just played a tune using the built-in tuner. 8)

Glad I could point out a resource that Fender doesn't even link to.

I find it very useful.

It is an awsome resource that few people really know about. One of the gems of the Fender Website...they could use it as a marketing tool to dirve people to the website. It can be a much more valuable asset for them to further brand the company and it's total commitment to the playing the guitar.

It does link to CDs, DVDs and books that are Guitar and Music related and can be purchased. But it doesn't currently fit into the "new" Fender website.

It probably should be better linked into the Fender website.

I can see where it might not fit with the new website, but if they make a few changes and start to sell it, as in just marketing it's existance, you will be surprised how much traffic they would get. If they want help with it, I can make it the number one resource for video lessons, books, reviews etc.

A few years ago I used to get monthly emails from the Players Club. Now I never get them and I hardly get an email at all from Fender. Meanwhile Epi is always sending me email. I miss the Fender stuff. For some reason they don't push the Players Club at all anymore. Too bad.

I guess there wasn't enough "foot traffic" thru the Players Club to warrant the man hours to plug it each month. Which is probably why Gibson doesn't have the same thing.

I'm waiting to see if this forum makes enough of an impact to have Gibson start their own forum.

It's all about cost/benefit. They are corporations after all.

Hopefully this will be a 24 forum...I enjoy it just like I do the TDPRI (Tele & Strat) & UMGF.com (Martin)...I believe they could drive enough traffic if they did it right..I enjoy it...
