Yeah, you're right, they should get more colors. But, I'd still get it, regardless.

I always treat people the way I would like to be treated, and I never judge a book by it's cover. I used to operate a few travel agencies, and in one in particular, old lady used to come in fairly regular. She never booked anything, but I always made her fell welcome. She was old, and harmless. she came in one cold morning for her usual wander and look at the brochures. I had one of my girls make her a hot cup of tea, and offered her a seat close to the heater. She sat quietly and drank her tea, flicking through a brochure. The next thing I know, she asked one of the girls to check availabilty at a hotel in the Canary Islands. This old woman booked a party of 60 people to go on a bowling holiday, and out of her tatty old bag she prdouced £10,000 as deposit for the trip. MYself and my staff all learned a good lesson that day, plus the old dear was confident she would be treated well in my place (which she always was). You just never know

We all have similar stories.
15 years ago I was looking at Strats, and had a salesman that decided i didn't look wealthy enough, wasn't going to let me try any out. i also was in work clothes.

I worked in a bar across the street from the shop, and the owner of the guitar shop, his boss, was a regular customer, and another salesman there was an acquaintance from the local band scene.

the 3 of them came into my work for lunch that day, and i talked to the other 2 about what had happened, and then refused the snotty salesman service. he had to leave, the others stayed, and i bought my strat from the other salesman on my way home with a nice discount from the owner, and they covered the sales tax, threw in a stand and a couple other goodies.

Turns out the jacka$$ sales guy was right though. He said "try something more on your budget" then you later said it was out of your price range.

I wanted to the story to end when you pull out a wad of cash and tell him and the manager that you'll just have to spend it somewhere else.

I was looking through the thread, and just noticed this!! Over 450 WATTS !! where are you planning on playing? The whole Grand Canyon?
my old Marshall was 100 watts I think. it was probably too loud for most of our gigs, we played some big rooms too.

He plays bass. 450 watts for bass is not what it would be for guitar. A bass amp needs more watts than a guitar amp for the same volume.

hey i got a kinda similar story

i was going to try some muffs and a wah at my usual guitar shop, but just before i hag been jamming with a couple of friends.
one of my friends owned (owns) a vintage telecaster i'm not sure if it's 60's but it's basicaly worn out and it look gorgeous, it was his father's and back then we both had squier bags.
So i got to the guitar store and i asked the man if i could try a an english muffin by EH, he goes 'are you sure you don't want to try a better guitar?'
'well i kinda like mine'(not knowing i had a precious item on my back) so he moans and stuff and finally allows me to try it i open the bag and i see the most suprised look i ever saw in that man's face, then i look down and i have a small heart attack thinking how careless i had been all the time.
since then that salesman has always been one of the best i've seen at guitar shops, no more look down or moaning

and now i have a mim strat and an epiphone casino :D :D
