Guitar and bass (fretted, fretless and double) and I'm in the process of re-learning violin. I took years of lessons but dropped it shortly after high school to concentrate on guitar for the working band I was in. I can also hack my way through a not very convincing harmonica.

i play the electric and acoustic guitar, also an acoustic 12 string, the electric and stand up bass, the banjo and the mandolin, the slide dobro, the drums and the dulcumer, and also the ukelele. i am looking for a double neck banjo and mandolin combined into one instrument but i can find one anywhere. if anyone has any idea on how to obtain an instrument such as this please E-mail me at dillonbrown20@aol.com
thanks from nashville TN!

I play banjo and would like to learn mandolin if I could find someone to teach me(Washington State isn't exactly bluegrass country :? ) but have a hard time picturing a doubleneck with both. I assume the banjo would be the bottom neck?

Everytime I have seen a drum kit I give it a shot but I am horrible. also never could figure out the harmonica yet things on guitar come pretty easy. And evreyone stop counting the guitar and acoustic as seperate instruments. lol There both guitars if you can play one you can play the other

I can play the guitar and piano, and I had played the bass for about two weeks until I had to give it back to the place I was borrowing it from. They let me take it home to practice the songs for my then-joined-in band--so I guess I can play the bass, just not as well as I can play the guitar. :P It was pretty easy to pick up, though, since the notes of the strings are exactly the same as the guitar.
I can also play hand drums, since the drums were the first instrument I could play. I used to go to drum circles with my mom when I was around the age of six, but it's a shame that we don't go to any nowadays. I would like to--it'd be fun. :D

Aside from my guitar I mostly play my bass. Other than that I have been trying to learn the banjo along with one of my friends. I dabble a little bit with keys, harmonica and drums but nothing spectacular of course.

I've always wanted to get a mandolin or a fiddle to add to the mix since i take well to stringed instruments.

Why "duh?"

There are plenty of guitarists who've never picked up a bass and have no desire to. And vice-versa. And there are plenty of guitarists who think that knowing how to play guitar means that they know how to play bass-- but they're wrong.

At any rate, I've played guitar for about 37 years, and bass for about 20 years, eventually in both rock bands and in church.

I can also play a very little bit of ukelele, mandolin, and banjo, but not to the point where'd I'd say I was proficient enough to actually say I "play" them.
