Almost always strum an E then run the scale to the 12th fret.......not sure why but that is what I do

Good question... and thinking about it, when I first pick up my guitar I will usually play an A 13th at the fifth fret, and then bend that 13th up a semitone to the flat seventh. Heh. No wonder my blues playing sounds too jazzy!

I think it stems from early lessons many years ago when I was mostly comping chords with walking bass lines.

I'm thinking "A" or "Am" since I spend a lot of time in that pentatonic.

I agree with Rhumba, I love major and minor 7ths. I probably play Amaj 7 the most. I like the sound a lot I guess.

i usually stick to the "big four" (D, A, E, G) When I am playing chords in root position and warming up. However, I am more a fan of smokin solos! 8) 8)

I play G, D, F, Am, E, C, and variations of these chords. I tend to play a lot of D-type chords the most.
