Do you use a multi-effects pedal and/or a amp modeler?

...with your strat? Do you have any good tones posted that I could check out? I just got my PodXT Live and have some stuff set up, but I'm looking to experiment with other sounds.

Thanks in advance

I don't have a pod but i am interested in getting one. Some people say it sounds great and some will never go near one. What amp do you use it through?

I'm using Korg and Vox processors. I'm always tweaking them for new sounds. You can spend hours doing this, but when you find those "sweet" tones and sounds, it's all worth it, IMO.

I use my Pod through a 35w Kustom solid state amp and it sounds great. It took a fair amount of tweaking but pretty much all gear needs that to really sound good.

I've been checking Custom Tone for some artist knock off stuff, but I want to to know if anyone has posted their own tones that I could check out.

Yes, I do. When I travel or need silent time at home the XT is what I pull out.

I love my PODXT Live. I also have a pedal board and use both through 2 different amps. All the music on my myspace page though, was recorded using the POD XT Live into a Yamaha AW1600 recorder. Except for any acousitcal tracks which were miked.

I would love some feedback on what you think the tones sound like. If you have a myspace page, send me an email and I can let you know the settings used.

I have a POD XT that I use in my studio all the time. Great way to get tones for tracks. Also makes a good practice platform when I want to play with headphones or quiet mode.

Line 6 Flextone XL III with Celestion speakers and POD XT Live. Love them!

I've heard people talking about how much 'deeper' other amps are (especially if they have tube preamps). Bah! With the right amp sim, I can shake the floor doing Metallica or White Zombie. Booming bass like you're there that easily matches my 550W subwoofer (audio system).

If you love analog warmth and tubes and analog circuitry in your effects, more power to ya. I just happen to be a digi-geek. :)

I use a Line6 Toneport KB37 - think of it as a Line6 Toneport UX2 built inside of a 37-key MIDI Keyboard. It can be used as either one or both together.

I also have the Gearbox Plugin and the Power Pack Model Pack.

I've downloaded several custom tones - very nice - some folks have really gotten the "sound" of some players down to a T

I got the PODxt about a year ago. Most of the presets are good, but sometimes it can take some tweaking to get the tone you're looking for. I've downloaded some pretty good tones from the site, too.

I'm surprised at how many pro guitarists and producers use these things. I'm going to try recording with it soon.

'Been driving not a POD, but a Line 6 Vetta I HD / 412 slant / FBV Longboard for the last 4 1/3 years and definitely not ashamed to use a modeling amp.

Love it, love it, love it; use the Vetta for 'bout 90% of electric playing, mostly an old Cyber-Twin for the balance.

'Ears ain't good enough to be a real tube-snob.
