As part of that particular giveaway we met up with John and crew when they passed the tour passed through the area. I wasn't along for that particular visit though I've met John in the past. Nice fellow, very down to earth!

Hey, are you guys aware that Mayer's being dissed as the most overrated artist of all time under the discussion on that topic. I'm like his only supporter on that thread along with one other guy. Mayer fans maybe you can go over there and push back some because Mayer's a very good guitar player, I like his style along with many others, and he's carrying the torch for the blues in the pop world now.

Woehoe! Cheers mate!
I'm a student too, saving for a deluxe trat (I'm half way there).
Winning this one must feel fantastic. John's music is indeed the best :)

Let's hope some of JM's mojo is fused into the rosewood. :D How is the condition, if I may ask. Just wondering what type of wear a tour guitar sees. Any unique wear marks?

I'll try to get this in the photos but there are some pick scratches on the pick guard naturally... there are also some above the pickups close to where the strap button is on the paint like john was gettin his strum on a little too wildly... hey i know what youre thinking but it adds character, they'll probably come off anyway if they are from a pick. other than that its flawless.

The neck has a vintage look to it like an EJ strat but the back has been sanded to give it a super smooth non sticky feel. The plate on the back says "Fender Custom Shop"... thats baller. And the back of the headstock has John Cruz's signature. I'll show it in the photos. Stay tuned!
