Well, just imo, I think the coolest bass solo I've ever heard was in that bridge/pre-chorus of "Bomb" by Switchfoot.

As for guitar solos....I'd have to say (imo)...the solos in Texas Flood by SRV... 8)

saw him back in the '80s at the old granada theatre in chicago want to say '83ish eerie how much like jimi he sounded live i mean tone wise great guitar player in his own right, thanks bro maybe i could see him again.
