And now what? Are you suggesting that "November Rain" has the most known bass and guitar solos, or asking us to contribute and write what we think is the most known bass and/or guitar solos?

In the case of the latter, I'm gonna go with Micheal Jackson's "Beat It" for the guitar solo and the intro of "Dance, Dance" by FOB, reasons being they are both very mainstream and catchy.

I have to go with Higher Ground (Red Hot Chili Peppers) for the bass and,Frusciante forgive me, Stairway to Heaven (obvious) for the guitar solo.

Eruption for guitar...As far as bass, as someone mentioned My Generation, though my personal favorite is Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) by Cliff Burton of Metallica on their Kill Em All album...

I have a hard time choosing between Eruption or Freebird with Lynyrd Skynyrd for guitar solo.
I'm sorry I cant remember any bass solos right now :?

The best guitar solo has to have Freebird by Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd in there. That is one of the ultimate solo's there are. Then lets not forget Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode or Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson Theres three good ones for sure.

I have always loved the bass solo in Rory Gallagher's Bullfrog Blues:

Best Guitar Solo: "Crossroads" -- Cream-era Clapton

Best Bass: Almost anything by James Jamerson, but especially The Four Tops' "Bernadette" and "Reach Out and I'll Be There".

It was Allen Collins who played the guitar solo on the studio recording of Freebird with Rossington on rythm and slide guitar......

The Eagles "Hotel California" dueling solo! Joe Walsh with either Steuart Smith or the former Eagle Don Felder

I love the solo from "Rock Around the Clock" by Danny Cedrone (Bill Haley & His Comets). An absolute classic from 1952.
