I don't have my license yet (even though I'm 18...)
But I have a '79 Firebird that's fun to drive. :D
I can't find any pics right now unfortunately.

We are strict believers in the "no car payment" club, so we only buy what we can pay for in full.

I had a '99 Dakota that I listed on Craigslist and sold in one day, so within the last two weeks I got a '03 Intrepid with only 60K miles on it. I can fit my band stuff etc so it'll be alright. That Dodge was killing me on the gas, it only got about 13 mpg tops.

Wife drives a '02 Explorer with about 80K miles, works well for the family, and we live out of town a ways so one vehicle should be 4 wheel drive for winter in WI.

^ So I see you're a police officer, huh?
I think that's pretty cool that in Hawai'i they use their personal cars for patrol cars.
Don't they give you an allowance for car payments over there?

Was, I retired last year. Regulars do get an allowance when they make motor status. Its like a promotion. I was a Rserve Officer so I had all the same requirements and training but I did it for love (free). Liability Insurance was covered, Registration was covered and 10 gallons of gas whenever you worked.
