C'mon man Fender stands for Hot Rods, Chevys, Fords, and Dodges. What is happening to us? Are we all truly turning Japanese after all. What a bummer dude. Man I work in a music store and I'm always defending Fender and thier business decisions. No more, I've had it. First Nascar now you. Do you guy's realize how many American auto companies are in real danger right now? Leo Fender wouldn't drive no Toyota if he was still here today, .... Shame on you  Guess I'll have to get my Gibson classic LP out and put my "62 strat away. Thanks for letting me vent

Lets face it, the American Auto Industry put themselves in the place they are in economically now. The United States Government should not be in the business of keeping businesses in business.

Promotion is about visibility, so Fender has an agreement with one of the more visible car manufacturers...Excuse Fender for doing something business-wise that makes sense. Perhaps you would have preferred Fender just put a bunch of promotional money into something that may not get them as much exposure as the deal they may have now. Then a few years from now, Fender could get bailed out by the government for making bad business decisions and marketing strategies...I mean how ridiculous would that be for the government to bailout a business or industry that put themselves in the hole? Oh wait, they're doing that already

Yeah, yeah, we heard it already.

There's more American materials and labor in that Toyota than in most "American" cars.

If Leo was here today, he'd drive a Mercedes. Or a Saab. He was an engineer, not a politician.

Toyota produced a 1.3 litre engine capable of powering a car up to 218mph. With a 0-60 time of way less than 5.5secs i dont remember what it was exactly, now.

You dont get much hotter than that these days without going to mclaren or jaguar.

Fender have already done a jaguar strat.

You know, why not Toyota? It's like asking someone why do you play a Ibanez and not a Fender or Gibson? It's all about relationships and cross promotional marketing. Just sit back, enjoy the ride, it's always so much better with a Fender!

Gratz the missus loved it. The cheeses were for a steak sauce. Cheddar and chives with really smelly stilton mixed with elmlea double light cream with the tiniest dash of crushed peppercorn and garlic. She loved it, i found it inedible. Mainly because i rushed my steak. I often find food ive slaved over disatisfying. I think it doesnt live up to the hype i build it up to in my own mind. Alycia, my wife is from a catering background, she helps me a lot with ideas. Food colouring for smoke staining guitars was one of her best :D

When I saw Fender teaming up with Toyota I thought it was cool and a bit odd at the same time, because I thought they would have used an American car. But I quickly appreciated it and thought that it's a good thing.

I'm not an American. I emigrated to Canada from another country, therefore I'm not an American patriot, although I love USA for many reasons. I love Toyota and I love Fender, especially their American made instruments.

But when you think about it, Fender is a worldwide company and they sell their instruments all over the world. This website and message board can be accessed, and has member from all over the world. Rock and roll is everywhere, not just America that's the beauty of it. Heck, guitars were not even invented in America. So Fender having a non-American affiliation should be, well, normal and it should be celebrated!

I think Fender chose Toyota because they want a vehicle that would last as long as their instruments.
