I didn't mention anything about Glitter's country of origin! He was just a lot more popular in the UK than in the USA. Of course, a LOT of Americans have heard "Rock and Roll (part 2)" at sporting events (most every American, I'd wager), without knowing it's an OLD Gary Glitter song.

As for The Band, I will concede that they were only 80% Canadian, but they did once put out a single using the band name Canadian Squires :!:

I know you didn't. I was just trying disassociate my nation from him. I'd have wanted to do that even before the developments of the last few years...

Very unkind of me to blame him on Canada though. There's no call for that!
