He sure is, but not to the same extent as Hendrix. I think that a lot of people in Ireland know that he was a great Guitarist without ever having heard any of his songs, if that makes sense. Having been one of the many great musicians who died way to young, he has reached that certain mythos. I saw him in the flesh at an Irish TV chat show in the 1980s but unfortunately he didn't play. I have a lot of friends who thinks he's a god though.
