i can get the sound i want when i plug direct into my Marshall Vintage Modern head and celestion loaded cabs.......but when i go to gigs with house amps or use either my Peavy XXX head or Valve King combo 212 amp.......i either go Strat >into TONEBONE HOT BRITISH >then into a Marshall Echohead then straight in..........or if i want less classic CREAM sounding Brit Blues/Rock...........and a lot more CRUNCH....then i plug STRAT>into Boss MT metal zone (as an eq for top end clarity)>into an Electro Harmonix Graphic Fuzz which has lots of EQ ability..a sustain slider and operates either FUZZ ON or FUZZ OFF !!!>>then into a BBE sonic stomp to even it all out>>then into the amp.
hope this helps you think of the many options you have . good luck finding "your tone".

Sounds like you've got your set down pretty good! 8)
