Guitar was my very first. I added on upright bass at about 13 and I've recently started with bass guitar. I dabble with piano as well, but guitar will always be my primary.

Back in the 1950's in the Chicago area, door-to-door salesmen would visit the smaller surrounding towns signing kids up for music lessons and selling instruments to their parents. Well, my parents had their heart set on me playing an accordian, even though I REALLY tried to make them understand I wanted to play a guitar. So, for about 5 or 6 months, once a week, I got an accordian lesson at a nearby music store whether I wanted it or not.

Later, in college, I bought a Gibson acoustic. That I kept until I traded it in on a Martin acoustic about four years later. I kept the Martin for awhile, but chose to sell it when I ran into a cash-poor period in my early career. I went without a musical instrument for many years.

Recently, I've picked up a couple of Stratocasters and am having a ball messing around with them. Making noise, and sometimes music, is again a part of my life.

I have played guitar since I was like 7 maybe even younger. I played Saxaphone for about 4 years til the end of Junior HIgh. I started playing Bass in my family band when I was 12. I am now 22 almost 23 still playing guitar and bass guitar in my band. Lots of fun.

electric and acoustic guitar, bass, and i want to learn to play classical piano.... that would be interesting i think, almost what bellamy of muse incorporates into some of their music, provides for a unique sound you wouldn't expect
