hi everyone!

so think im ready to bring some effects into my life!
i really know very little about stompboxes n pedalboards n that!
wondering if you can buy them with pedals included, all ready to go, or is something you have to do your self? obviously it needs a power supply! is that attached to board as well? and can you run it through any amplifier? because my amp is quite cheap, (frontman 25r)
also how does having a loaded pedalboard compare with multi-effects procesers? ive got an rp-70 coming in post, they ment to be really good. cant wait to try the wah out!!!

anyway if anyone could take sometime in answering these probaly thick sounding questions it would be much appreciated!!!

thanks

The Roland synth is really nice but a bit much for someone just starting out in the world of effects :)

Generally, initially you would pick and buy some pedals, like a wah and/or overdrive.
and a couple of patch cords. Most all pedals can run off of one or two internal 9V batteries, though they don't last long, and you might want a power supply at some point.

When you start to get a tangle then it's time to look at pedal boards, either buy a commercial one of make it yourself. not hard to DIY.

That is if you want to go with separate pedals.
Some like the multi try-to-do-it-all effects like the ones from DigiTeck or Line-6, not my preference but it is convenient.

I have been using a digitech rp80 for a quite a while and like it alot, but I am now trying to go with a pedal board with individual pedals just for the ease of switching effects. Basically, I have the same exact questions you do! :D

Hi,
Check out oldtonezone.com demos and reviews of different pedals, they even have a comparison tool!

check out the Modtone line. They have gotten very good reviews and are quite affordable.

I have a Modtone Speedbox distortion pedal and it is great.
