I took a week off but I recorded another original yesterday. It's called "Call" (creative, I know). I tried to write something happier because all my songs tend to be kind of downbeat. I wrote it about someone I'm close to so it wouldn't sound too contrived. Please let me know what you think!

Call? It sounds very Curt Kobain. Most of your songs sound that way. Maybe you could try and do something on the electric you have hanging back there similar to Nirvana. I know its hard to let it out in a song but some power chords might help. Just a thought.

I'm trying to sing the songs I play and recently found out I can't really sing. Probably if I keep trying something will come out and my neighbor's dog will stop howling.

You have a great voice but you need to bring it out of the bedroom. Do some performances if you can.

Hope my amature opinion helps.

Wishig you the best,

You know, it is a bit Kurt Cobainish.

Learn little tricks with your voice, just different styles of singing. If you want to cheer it up, go for a Jack Johnson or Jason Mraz style.

It was good though.

How so? I'm a huge Nirvana fan, but I don't really see it...

The way it was a bit lazy, yet on pitch. Singing is a bit like guitar playing. If you have energy, even though you may not be playing quickly, you can brighten up the sound or change the tone and the whole picture. Maybe it would be easier to see what I mean if you listen to more indie or country (not saying it sounds like you don't, I have no idea) but just listen to all the things that they do, sing along if you like it, copy it as well as you can, learn what they do and change it up.

It sounds good, but it is not extremely good...... it would not be a hit song .. with that said I think your voice has substance and can produce some raelly cool music along with your guitar playing keep on rocking!

If I had to compare it, I'd say it's more Jack Johnson that Curt Cobain.

I've very critical of a lot of stuff, and love to rip things apart (if only for positive critiquing) but I like this. It's raw, it's done well, and it is - what it is: just you in your room playing an original song, a good one, and doing it well.

It's better and more "real" than a lot of crap I hear on the radio now. I can hear this style used in a lot of soundtracks for indie, and even some major films as well.

It's fine as it is. Keep doing this. Record more. Put them together into a CD, and do it now. Good stuff.
