Thanks Ceri.
No wild Townsend moves - very mundane really. My elbow made an audible sound as I lifted a sheet of plywood onto the tablesaw, (like I've done thousands of times before). I knew immediately I was hooped.

Hopefully start rehab in about 3 weeks. At least the pain is mostly gone.

Oh! Insult to injury? The antiimflamatory drugs mean no alcohol.

It's not as serious sounding as poor Snowy. Hope he's doing ok.

Ouch Gridlok. Not only the pain in the arm but missing out on all your favorite activities. Major mojo coming your way from the the heartland of the U.S.

a 5 string long neck banjo is a great instrument - ask Warren Beatty.

I can't believe I did that! Luckily, I can blame the drugs! It was NED Beatty who starred in "The Deerhunter" with the redneck banjo playing. My apologies to Ned, who is a very skilled actor.

Snowy, have they got you locked up again in the hospital? If so, I hope you're hooked up with your laptop to help pass the time. Just let us know if we should band together and come over there to bust you out of that place! Besides, I need you to help me locate the jute mill my dad burned down as a kid in Glasgow.

Thanks again to the whole group!!! Your comments really help!

Peace, Gridlok 8) [/u]

I think you guys are getting your movies and actors mixed up. The "Dueling Banjo" scene was from the 1972 film Deliverance with Ned Beatty, John Voight and Burt Reynolds.

The Deerhunter was about three small town friends that went to Viet Nam, starring Robert DeNiro and Christopher Walken.

Both are great movies.

Now squeal like a pig!! :)

I thought I was going to have to go back in earlier today, had some complications with the drain in my stomach. Fortunately the district nurse managed to sort things out. I'm more than happy to help trace this mill for you Grid, let me know what information you have, and I'll see what I can find out for you. When I'm fully fit, I'll go to the site and get some pix for you. And obviously, anymore information I can dig up.

Hop: You're right my friend, my sis has been great today. I wouldn't be home now, if it weren't for her.

Tommygunn: Grid had an awful accident by the sound of it, he has posted an account of it on this thread. As for me, I enjoyed the high life a bit too much in my teens and 20's. Paying for it bigtime now, life's lessons can be hard sometimes. But some good has come out of it all, I've helped others turn their back on said lifestyle.
