Hi Snowy. Didn't want to step on your thread so started a new one. Seems I tore my bicep off the bone requiring surgery and a long recovery. As much as they did a great job - hospitals are a place to stay away from![img][/img]

I can't use my brand new skiis, can't mountain bike, can't play my guitars, and can only type with one finger. Not life threatening, but no fun.

This probably won't make you feel any better, but at least you will know you are not alone.

Hope your recovery is fast and complete!

Gridlok :(

Gridlock,
I appreciate this, as Chet has already said, that sounds painful. I know I'm not alone, this just goes to prove it. I hope you recover soon my friend, and get back to doing the things you enjoy. Great pic too man, can I post a pic of the scar across my belly?

P.S. Some fine instruments hanging on your wall 8)

Gridlock, that sucks! Your bicep tore away from the bone? How the heck did you do that?

Regardless, I will keep you in my prayers as well! :)

I hope I get to find out soon  For the record though, it is a really cool scar. The surgeon said it's the best job he's done to date, I won't bother with pix  Hang in there Gridlock.

Thanks for all the posts, guys. I'm actually kind of surprised by how good it feels to have people that I've only met online respond so positively. Just another sign of quality from the Fender folk I guess.

Whaddya think, Snowy? Is this a good bunch or what?

Gridlok :)

Must be hard on the family, too...knowing that the banjo is going to have to stay hanging on the wall all that time

Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, hope you recover quickly, and in the mean time, you might want to consider getting one of these to keep your left fingers from going into atrophy.

Ha! You didn't even see the violin, ( which I don't play at al .) Besides, a 5 string long neck banjo is a great instrument - ask Warren Beatty.

Oh no - another injury thread! Man, that is a real downer; how the heck did that happen? Not even Pete Townshend hurt his left arm with on stage acrobatics - I'm trying to picture how you managed it...

Do you have a time frame on the recovery? Hope it's not too long.

Best wishes coming airmail in your direction. Keep up the one finger typing!

Cheers - C
