I think that naming your guitar is probably a pretty normal thing. It's endearing, you know? I have a black Fender CD-60 named Mingie, and i have an American Standard Strat named Laura, after my girlfriend.

Yes I do name my guitars, and I've named my car too.

2001 Mazda MX-5 Miata Special Edition in British Racing Green is named Washu - which is the name of an Anime character.

2005 Squier '51 is named Taka - Japanese for hawk
2006 Squier Standard Strat is named Yume - Japanese for dream
2006 Fender VG Strat is named Houbi - Japanese for prize

I haven't named my acoustic, it doesn't seem to need a name. :P
