A man walked into a butcher shop and asked the butcher for the best piece of meat in the shop. The butcher said:

"Every piece of meat in this shop is the best. There is no piece of meat in this shop that is not the best."

In this moment the customer was enlightened.

Each decade had it's moments, imo.

50's - Elvis Presley
60's - British Invasion/Surf
70's - The Soul Years
80's - Synthesizer Invasion
90's - Digital Invasion
00's - Anything Goes Here?

 :) :?

I always wish I could have been around in the 60s to see such acts as The Beatles, Hendrix, The Who and many others who were doing their thing back then.

In my opinion the 60s had the best music. The 70s, particularly the early 70s and mid 70s, is good too.

Difficult question. Each decade presented us with its own genre of music. The 50's introduced us Rock & Roll, the 60's expanded and refined Rock & Roll and introduced Hard Rock, the 70's gave us Disco, the 80's - Heavy Metal, 90's Hip Hop. IMHO, good music sorta died in the 90's with a few exceptions.

i feel like my feng shui just got shui-ed. all of the decades are good i'm thinking what ever decade mozart was around is up there for influence on music.

For me the 60's and 70's and that the 80's where just bland the 90's where taken over by crap music and not much to impress the last 8 years.

I really can't pick a best. Every decade since music was discovered has been unique in it's own way.

I'd say 1964 or 1965 until about 1974 or 1975...Its 10 years, or a decade, that actually spans 2 different decades...
