I got this strap today made by a Native American Indian and wanted the members here to see it and let me know what you think of it. Its made from Deer and Buffalo hide and over 30 feet of leather lace was used along the edges to give it strength. Its just over 3 " wide and comfortable to wear. The beaded work came out nice and they call it functional art.

Hello JPD,

That is an excellent piece of work.

I need one too.

Do you know what tribe the maker is from?
Very nice indeed.

Cheers.

Thank you everyone, I had a feeling some people would like it. Although it wasn`t cheap it`s a one of a kind strap as is all his pieces. I know selling and advertising is against Fender rules but if anyone is interested in seeing his other work, I`ll leave my email address here and you can contact me and I`ll send you his contact information so I don`t get in trouble here.
I`m not making any money by sending people to him, but he`s such a nice guy to deal with he makes you feel like a friend instead of someone making a sale. His name is Edward Tall Bear, he does the leather work and an Indian woman does the beaded work.
My name is Joe and my email adddress is JDe268@aol.com

Mr Bill, I think its the Navajo Tribe but I`ll ask him about that. He`s located in Arizona and has Native American Artists working with him from New Mexico too.
fh, I found it online but he quickly became a friend and we stay in touch. Anyone who deals with him comes away feeling like you`ve known him for years.

That is an outstanding looking strap. As I grew up in AZ I know the quality that comes from the Native American Artisans. There are some incredible works out there!

I may have to look into one myself!

Nice! I read that George Strait has some of those and likes them a lot.
