Clapton's solo on "Have You Heard About My Baby?" from the Mayall/Beano album. The greatest blues solo ever taken by anyone. I have to believe he was not playing, but channeling the Deity for those all-too-brief moments. He's never played anything close since. If music is a religion, that solo is the Sermon on the Mount and the Parting of the Red Sea rolled into one. I don't believe any mere human can play that solo with that tone and that feeling no matter how hard they try.

How about almost everything from Slash. Wow that guy is good... Especially now that he is a bit more sober. I guess putting up with Axle will do that to you...
